Fatal two-vehicle crash near Mountain Home leaves one dead, two hospitalized

A two-vehicle crash west of Mountain Home on Friday has sent two people to the hospital and claimed the life of another.

Idaho State Police are investigating a crash that occurred Friday night when the 36-year-old man from Mountain Home driving a 2020 GMC Sierra lost control crossed over the median and hit a 2018 Kia Forte occupied by a 30-year-old Rupert man and his 52-year-old passenger.

The driver of the Kia was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. Both the driver of the GMC and the passenger of the Kia were wearing seatbelts and were taken to the hospital.
