Fans are convinced Taylor Swift just hinted at an engagement during her recent Eras Tour performance in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Swift, who has been in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce for almost a year, may have hinted at the engagement during her Friday, July 19 show. The "Fortnight" singer performed a mashup of "Stay, Stay, Stay" and "Paper Rings" during her secret set. The lyrics of the ladder, which is from her 2019 album Lover, include, "I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings" and "darling, you're the one I want."
Swift's fans obviously swarmed to social media to speculate about the couple's possible engagement. One fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), "🤣 yess Confirmed probably secretly engaged lol," while another noted, "That mashup couldn't have been more clear." A third fan inquired, "I'm split between they are engaged and she is trying to drop hints OR she is trying to hint to Travis she is ready and waiting on the question."

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy confidently predicted to Page Six that Kelce will propose to his pop star girlfriend by the end of the year. While some fans believe Swift and Kelce, both 34, might already be engaged, Portnoy, a known Swiftie, doubts this, suggesting they would likely make a public spectacle of the announcement. "With how public they seem to be, they would very much want that to be a big show," he noted.
Former Hills star Spencer Pratt also shared his prediction on the couple's engagement in an April podcast episode. When asked on the if he thought the duo will get married, he responded, "100 Percent," before continuing, "I think she's gonna have fam—baby—I've got into multiple arguments with people that they're like, 'This is all for show' and I'm like 'No it's not.'"
