ORIGIN
Luke Wilson is an American actor, writer, and director. His screen credits include Old School (2003), Blue Streak (1999), and Legally Blonde (2001). He starred as “Levi Callow” in the HBO series Enlightened, and as “Bill” in Showtime’s Roadies. Luke Paul Wilson was born on September 21, 1971, in Dallas, Texas. His mother, Laura, is a photographer, and his father, Robert (d. 2017), an advertising executive. He has two older brothers, Andrew and Owen. Wilson attended St. Mark’s School of Texas where he ran track. He continued his education at Occidental College and at Texas Christian University.

CAREER
Wilson made his film debut alongside his brother Owen in Bottle Rocket (1996). The film was directed by Wes Anderson on a $7 million budget. Other early film appearances followed in Telling Lies in America (1997) and Bongwater (1998). Wilson had a small role in Wes Craven‘s slasher Scream 2 (1997). He appeared opposite Drew Barrymore in Home Fries (1998), and co-starred with comedian Martin Lawrence in Blue Streak (1999). Wilson made his television debut in a 1998 episode of The X-Files. Next, he was cast in a recurring role as “Casey Kelso” in That ’70s Show (2002-05). He hosted a 2004 episode of Saturday Night Live, and guest-starred in a 2004 episode of Entourage.

Wilson played the love interest of Cameron Diaz’s character in Charlie’s Angels (2000), and Reese Witherspoon’s character in Legally Blonde (2001). He co-starred with Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn in the comedy, Old School (2003). He portrayed inventor/aviator “Orville Wright” in Around the World in 80 Days (2004), and businessman “Roger Goodell” in Concussion (2015). Other notable films include The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) with Danny Glover, Idiocracy (2006) with Maya Rudolph, Vacancy (2007) with Kate Beckinsale, and Death at a Funeral (2010) with Chris Rock. Wilson wrote, directed, and starred as the title character in The Wendell Baker Story (2007). He supplied the voice of “Bodi” for the animated film Rock Dog (2016). Back on the small screen, Wilson starred as “Levi Callow” in the HBO series Enlightened (2011-13). He starred as “Bill” in the Showtime comedy-drama series Roadies (2016).
